Privacy policy.

Written to describe what this website actually does, rather than to cover every possibility. If we add anything, this page changes first.

The short version

We do not run analytics or advertising trackers on this site. We do not sell or rent anything you give us. The only personal information we hold is what you typed into a form, entered at checkout or told us on the phone, and we use it to answer you and to build and deliver what you ordered.

What we collect

Things you give us

  • Contact form — name, email, phone and whatever you wrote in the message.
  • Dealer enquiries — business name, contact details, location and notes about your shop.
  • Orders — name, email, delivery address and what you ordered, so it can be built and delivered. You enter these in the payment form at checkout.

A form message goes to our customer system (GoHighLevel) and our email inbox, and a backup copy is kept on the web server. An order is recorded by Stripe and on the web server, and we get an email about it.

Things kept in your own browser

  • Your cart — what you put in it is saved in your browser's local storage, so it is still there when you come back. It stays on your device until the cart is emptied or you clear your browser data.
  • Delivery ZIP — the ZIP you type on the Get One page or in the cart is checked against the lower 48 and saved the same way, so you are not asked twice. It is sent to us with your order when you check out, and it is stored with the order at Stripe, our payment processor.
  • Price list — a copy of current prices is kept for a few minutes so pages load faster. Nothing about you is in it.

This website does not ask your browser where you are, and it does not let the embedded dealer map ask either. The map works from the ZIP or town you type into it.

Other companies involved

Loading this site means your browser talks to a few other services. Each one sees your IP address, because that is how the internet works.

  • Google Fonts — serves the typefaces on every page.
  • Mapsteader — runs the dealer map on the home page, the Stand In One page and the Get One page, and the map of our shop on the Our Story page. The map sits in its own frame, served by Mapsteader. Whatever you type into its search box (a ZIP or a town) goes to Mapsteader so it can find dealers near you. The map background comes from OpenStreetMap.
  • YouTube — the assembly videos on the Setup page use YouTube's privacy-enhanced player (youtube-nocookie.com). Once you press play, it is a YouTube view like any other.
  • GoHighLevel (LeadConnector) — our customer system. Contact and dealer forms are saved there so we can answer you. Product photos and the PDF manuals also load from its file servers.
  • Stripe — handles payment. When you press Checkout, Stripe's payment form opens on this site. Card details go to Stripe, never to us. We see that a payment succeeded, what was ordered, and the name, email and delivery address you entered.
  • Printful — prints and ships our shirts and hoodies. If you order apparel, your name, email and shipping address go to Printful so they can send it. Apparel photos in the shop load from Printful.
  • Hostinger — hosts this website and sends our email, including order confirmations. It keeps standard server logs, which include IP addresses, for security and troubleshooting.
  • Google reviews — our server fetches our rating and reviews from Google and shows them from our own site. Your browser does not contact Google for that, and nothing about you is sent.

Links to other sites, such as Google Maps or our YouTube, Instagram and Facebook pages, are plain links. Those sites see nothing until you click.

Cookies

This site sets no cookies of its own, and no advertising or analytics cookies. When you open checkout, Stripe sets the cookies it needs to take a payment and prevent fraud. The dealer map and the videos come from Mapsteader and YouTube, and those services may store their own data in your browser.

How long we keep things

Enquiries stay in our customer system and our email for as long as they are useful, which for a blind company is a long time — people call back years later about a blind they bought. Order records are kept as long as tax and warranty obligations require. Ask us to delete something and we will, unless we are legally required to keep it.

Who we share it with

  • A dealer, if you asked us to put you in touch with one, or if you are closer to them than to us.
  • A freight carrier, to deliver a blind — name, address and phone.
  • The companies listed above, as far as each one needs it to do its job.
  • Nobody else. We do not sell lists and we do not trade contact details.

Your choices

Email us or call (814) 795-9011 and ask to see, correct or delete what we hold about you. There is no form for this — just ask.

Children

This site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

Changes

If we add analytics, a newsletter or anything else that watches how the site is used, this page gets updated before that goes live.
